Celebrating the 750th anniversary of this historic event, the Battle of Evesham re-created the sights and sounds of the battle between Simon de Montfort and Prince Edward.
The place was Crown and Corporation Meadows, #Evesham where the past was brought back to life with spectacular costumes, scenes of conflict and there was also lots of mid thirteenth
century entertainment, displays and traders selling their wares!
There was even an apothecary demonstrating and "selling" her potions and herbal medicines.
An interesting and entertaining #medieval event!

THE VICTORIAN RE-ENACTOR IN WALSALL!
The Victorian Era is always an interesting and popular subject for the re-enactors!

Spotted (below) on a gloomy weekday in August, in Walsall in the West Midlands,
a Victorian actor with top hat, long jacket, waxed moustache on a penny farthing bicycle!
This wasn't an event and there wasn't any advertising, so I'm guessing this was just a re-enactor deciding to entertain us all.... and then he disappeared into the Victorian Arcade... where else!#Victorian #re-enactor #Walsall
